“I am finally living the life I should be and loving every minute!
Everyone at Impact Sports and Fitness has been so great in my weight loss journey. I never thought I could be so fit, love working out so much, and become the runner I am today. From 375 pounds and a size 28 now to 175 pounds and a size 8, if I can do this, anyone can! It takes hard work and dedication but it’s all so worth it in the end! Just get started moving! The sky is the limit, not only for me, but it can be for you as well. I love my new life and there’s no going back! Thanks!
I’ve struggled with weight my whole life, constantly going up and down, trying every popular diet and gimmick.
While pregnant, I gained a lot of weight, and when my son turned one year old, I was still carrying some of the baby weight. I joined Impact Sports and Fitness in January 2012 and began taking the Group Personal Training class. Group PT is intense and definitely hard work, but the changes I’ve felt and seen are amazing! The support and guidance of the trainers pushes me to my limit and the results are evident; within 6 months, I had lost the baby weight plus more! I am stronger, fitter, and healthier than ever before.
Two years ago I started on my weight loss journey…
I had been released from the hospital after being in there for a week for A-fib. I was reading what the doctor said on my discharge sheet about my health. I was on heart meds and high blood pressure meds. I started to cry, basically had a meltdown. I knew then I had to do something! Mind you my mom died at 45 with heart trouble when I was 15. I asked GOD if he would give me the strength to change, and he did! I joined the gym with my husband’s help. I’m 36 and I had never set foot in a gym it was hard at first… I didn’t like it but as time went on I started to like it. I had to change not just my diet, but my whole lifestyle. I just thank GOD, my husband, and the staff at Impact for supporting me. My starting weight was 250 and I’m down to 154 now! I pray that GOD will help me stay strong and keep it off.
On November 9th, 2012 I was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome.
It was a devastating illness which had two doctors tell me I was going to die. I was on a ventilator for three weeks, and was quadriplegic. I chose Impact Sports and Fitness to do my therapy. It has been a long road back, but I am much better now and nearing a complete recovery.
